The Tjanpi Desert Weavers is a social enterprise of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council, where women from remote Central and Western deserts use native grasses to make spectacular contemporary fibre art, from baskets, jewellery, sculpture and more. Be inspired by the desert landscape and listen to live music as you weave your own basket or crafty creature to take home. Join artists from the Tjanpi Desert Weavers for a day of weaving workshops and activities. Looking for even more to do in Canberra?
